Is it possible to freely pick goods on the drive in shelf?

As is well known, drive in shelving is a commonly used type of storage shelving in warehouses, and is widely used in factories, workshops, cold storage, and other places. Of course, it is called a through type shelf or corridor type shelf, so can the in type shelf freely pick up goods? Let's take a look together below.

Drive in shelving utilizes the principle of first in, last out operation, so it is not possible to freely pick goods. That is to say, you cannot pick up any board of goods you want, you can only store them in order. If free picking is required, it is not suitable to use drive in shelves. You can consider using pallet shelves, gravity shelves, and other types suitable for picking goods.

Drive in shelving is a type of storage rack where forklifts directly enter the aisle to pick up goods, without the need to reserve forklift travel paths in each row, greatly increasing the number and density of storage spaces. Therefore, it is also called intensive storage shelving.

From the above, we understand that the drive in shelf cannot freely pick goods. If you need a shelf for freely picking goods, you can choose pallet shelves and gravity shelves.
