Instructions for selecting the type of pipe storage rack

Various types of pipes are common in production workshops as they are a type of raw material. This type of raw material is either elongated or irregular, and ordinary shelf types are difficult to meet the placement requirements of this type of goods. Many manufacturers choose to stack and place them on site in order to save costs, which affects production efficiency. It also affects the cleanliness and aesthetics of the workshop. Below, we will share which shelves are suitable for pipes.

If the pipe is of PE type (common plastic pipes, etc.), due to its light weight, it can be placed on lightweight and medium-sized cantilever shelves with a load-bearing capacity of less than 500kg. The length is about 2-6 meters, and the overall weight of single-layer stacking can be used from 500kg to 1000kg; If it is a steel pipe, due to the relatively large weight of a single piece, if it is stacked on a single layer of more than 1 ton, a heavy-duty cantilever shelf that can be accessed by a forklift can be chosen.

How to improve the placement environment due to the irregular shape or large length of pipes and limited warehouse area. We usually recommend that companies choose cantilever loft shelves to increase storage space. If the short pipes are relatively short, they can be considered for storage in the loft. If the quantity is not large, standard shelves or suitable storage cages can be added to assist in storage. This can more efficiently utilize effective space to obtain larger storage capacity.
