There is still a gap between the supermarket shelf standards and the international supermarket shelf standards

With the improvement of people's living standards, the supermarket industry has become exceptionally popular. It has basically replaced small shops and become the main place for people to shop. The development of supermarkets has also driven the development of supermarket shelves, but there is no unified standard for supermarket shelves, which will inevitably affect the healthy development of Chinese supermarket enterprises in the future. The impact may not be particularly prominent in the short term, but with the development of the logistics industry, its impact will become increasingly apparent. Wang Xiaolei, Deputy Secretary General of the Supermarket Shelf Committee of the China Federation of Shelves and Purchasing, pointed out that revising the current national standards and standardizing China's supermarket shelf standards as soon as possible has become an urgent task for the supermarket shelf industry.

The early supermarket shelves in China, commonly known as counters, had a variety of options including iron, wood, glass, and more. However, these shelves have a major drawback, which is that they cannot freely adjust the layers, are also inconvenient to move, and are not aesthetically pleasing. Supermarket shelves are new products developed with advanced foreign technology in recent years. Compared with traditional supermarket shelves, they have the characteristics of free adjustment and strong recyclability. In recent years, the domestic retail market has quietly undergone changes, with a significant increase in demand for supermarket shelves.
