Through type storage shelves have channels on both sides, which can achieve a first in, first out strategy, while in type shelves are only equipped with single-sided channels, so they can only achieve a last in, first out storage strategy.

　　Push back shelving:

　　Shelves are used in conjunction with cargo carts. Pallet goods are pushed back into the shelves one by one by the cargo carts. When the goods on the first shelf are taken away, the goods on the next shelf will be automatically returned to the first shelf. In this type of shelf system, forklifts do not need to enter the storage aisle, resulting in high operational efficiency and only implementing a last in, first out storage strategy.

　　Gravity shelves:

　　The use of gravity to access goods is mainly achieved by arranging non powered rollers in the storage aisle and installing a downward sloping small angle. The goods automatically enter the warehouse end and slide to the lower shipping end by their own weight. After the first item is taken away, the goods in the next storage location will automatically arrive, achieving first in, first out.

　　The pallet shuttle storage system is a semi-automatic warehousing technology. Unlike through type shelves and drive in shelves, forklifts do not need to enter the shelf aisle for operation. Instead, they work in coordination with pallet shuttle boards on the aisle, greatly reducing the accident rate of forklifts hitting shelves. The length of the aisle can be increased accordingly, further improving the density of warehousing.
